Start to deeply trust yourself & your decisions
The healing journey isn’t about becoming your ‘best self’, it’s about building a connection to the parts of you that have been exiled in order to survive. All parts of you are valid and deserve acknowledgement.
For Black women especially, the mask we present to the world has been perfected as a means of protection. The problem is that pushing parts of yourself down in order to get by is a daily task, on top of all the other tasks! The result? It can be exhausting.
Lean into your ability to heal and change your life
If you feel like the years are passing but things aren’t changing, and if you aren't moving forward with the promises you make to yourself, it might be time to look at what is causing the stagnation. Awareness is key.
Taking the time to see the patterns can help to overcome some internal blocks that you can’t see. This is where professional support can be a powerful catalyst. Click below for a free assessment on what your body might be telling you.

“I can’t believe the progress in the the short time of the container...”
“I feel I have a whole new language of self care and self respect. It’s like self bias training. Not that the negative thoughts or feelings won’t occur in life, but with this brand new vocabulary and skill set I can be kind to my self now.
I can practice self care, even under pressure and I can triumph and succeed in life, without causing myself harm. I truly feel like a different me. A happier and better ME!”
Meet your life coach, your guide, Cheryl.
I became a therapist as being a Black woman in the work place had me on edge and living in survival mode.
Health should be a number one priority as without it, you don’t have much. There’s a growing body of research suggesting that unresolved emotional stress can have a significant impact on physical health.
I got my first hint that I needed to take my health seriously with a high blood pressure diagnosis in my late 20s. This was a problem, and so I U-turned out of my career and into my purpose.
I’m interested to know more about you and what brings you here. If you can find space on my calendar, I will give you my undivided attention for 45 minutes.
You deserve the comfort of being held safely and compassionately
So often we’re at the bottom of our own to do list. We need to interrogate where this pattern of behaviour comes from so we can consciously decide whether or not to continue down the same path.
Without the awareness, nothing changes. You deserve comfort, not coarseness.

"Trauma is a fact of life.
It does not, however, have to be a life sentence."
—Peter Levine
